Most of the time, I begin with one of my own presets — not to rush the process, but to give each photo a familiar starting point. From there, I make small adjustments depending on the light, the colours, and the feeling I want to preserve. These are a few favourite edits from my travels over the years, including Japan, Switzerland, Portugal and the Netherlands.

📷 Comment “PRESET” if you’d like me to share the Lightroom preset used for these edits.

✨ Everyone talks about Amsterdam — but no one warn ✨ Everyone talks about Amsterdam — but no one warns you about this city.✨

A place where canals glow at dusk, church bells echo through cobbled streets, and time seems to move just a little more gently. Long before Amsterdam rose to fame, this city was already a thriving river hub — and traces of that past still ripple through daily life here.

Built with wharf-level terraces below the streets, they were once lined with kelders where merchants unloaded goods straight from their boats. Today, those same spaces hold candle-lit cafés, tiny boutiques, and waterside dinners that stretch late into the evening.

There’s a youthful energy woven through the old stone — students cycling past medieval towers, creative studios tucked behind historic façades, and green spaces that soften the edges of the city. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t try to impress, yet quietly does.

And then there’s Miffy — nijntje 🐰 — the beloved little bunny born here, now a symbol of the city’s gentle charm.

📍 Utrecht, Netherlands - Just 30 minutes from Amsterdam by train, it makes an easy day trip — but to truly feel its rhythm, stay at least two days.
📌 Things to Do in Utrecht:

⛪ Domtoren — The tallest church tower in the Netherlands. Climb it for panoramic views or admire it from below as you wander the historic centre.

🚶🏻‍♀️ Oudegracht & Nieuwegracht — Stroll the city’s iconic canals at a slow pace, especially in the late afternoon when the light hits the water and terraces come alive.

🛶 Canal cruising, Utrecht-style — Rent a kayak or pedal boat on Oudegracht to see the wharf cellars up close and drift past centuries of history.

🛍️ Vismarkt & canal streets — Browse independent boutiques, vintage stores, and small local shops tucked between the waterways.

🏰 Kasteel de Haar — An easy day trip from the city, this fairytale castle features moats, turrets, and French baroque gardens.

📷 Photos taken on my @sony camera and edited with my Fujifilm Lightroom presets

I didn’t realise how much money I was wasting unti I didn’t realise how much money I was wasting until I stopped buying these. 💸

This is my second year doing a low-buy, and with January nearly over, here’s part two of the things I’m no longer buying in my mid-twenties.

These aren’t drastic changes — just small, intentional shifts that have helped me cut down on impulse spending and be more mindful about where my money actually goes.

🙇🏻‍♀️ Comment “LIST” and I’ll send you my full breakdown of the habits that have genuinely saved me money in my twenties.

💭 What’s something you’ve stopped buying?

📌 More tips that help:

🪞 Simplify your skincare + haircare routine. Stick to what works for you — not trends.

🙇🏻‍♀️ Audit your monthly subscriptions to see what you actually use. I’ve shared my favourites in the carousel.

💸 Use a shopping wishlist tracker to curb impulse purchases — I’ve got a

@notion template linked in my bio.

📝 Make tracking your monthly expenses a habit so you can spot unnecessary costs (and sneaky subscriptions 👀).
