You’ve just landed in Switzerland… where are you h You’ve just landed in Switzerland… where are you heading first? 🇨🇭👉🏻

If you’re planning a trip, here are a few places to add to your itinerary. I only had a week in Switzerland, so I focused on a mix of first-time favourites and a few lesser-known spots.

But I know there’s still SO much more to see 👀

If you’ve been to Switzerland, where would you recommend visiting next? Let me know in the comments! ⤵️

🗺️ Want my full Switzerland travel itinerary? Comment GUIDE and I’ll send you the link!

One of my favourite cities I’ve visited in Europe. You can easily spend your days exploring the local streets or by the lake.

I’d recommend spending at least 2 to three days in Lucerne, but if you want to explore it without rushing, about 4 to 5 days.

I’ve written an entire free guide about things to do in Lucerne on my website. 💻

I had this mountain village in Switzerland on my bucket list for years, and seeing it in person was a surreal experience.

Spend at least 4 days here for hiking and soaking up the village. I visited during summer but would love to visit in winter for the seasonal activities.

This city is a great starting point for your Switzerland trip. I spent about 2 days here, but you could easily spend a week here.

I’d easily revisit this city to wander the streets, check out the museums, galleries and soak up the city atmosphere.

This was a great spot as a base for doing day trips in Switzerland. You can also do paragliding here if it’s on your bucket list.

Some of my favourite experiences I did in Grindelwald were the toboggan slide and the flying fox in the mountains.

Probably one of the most noticeable places in Switzerland you’ve seen on social media, and for good reason. It’s a charming Swiss village known for its cliffs and waterfalls.

I did a day trip from Grindelwald to Lauterbrunnen, but you could easily spend another day or two here to soak up the views and go on hikes in the area.

I have an entire one-week Switzerland travel itinerary I can send you to save you time planning your trip!
Turning 27 has had me reflecting on my twenties so Turning 27 has had me reflecting on my twenties so far, and honestly, they’ve looked very different from what I imagined. 🙇🏻‍♀️

Instead of sharing the highlights, I thought I’d share some of the lows, detours and moments that shaped where I am today.

💌 I wrote a little more about it over on Substack. If you’re also figuring things out as you go, this one’s for you.

🫶🏼 And thank you to everyone who sent me birthday wishes and made turning 27 feel extra special. I appreciate you more than you know 🫶

Changing your major is more common than you think.

I originally started studying microbiology during my first year of university, before eventually changing to human geography and law.

University also came with a lot of debt.

Over the course of my degree, I racked up more than $50k in student debt.

Everyone has different financial priorities, and at the time, I decided to focus on other financial goals while paying off my student debt later.

This was one of the hardest periods of my early twenties.

COVID was already an incredibly difficult time, and grieving the loss of a family member made it even harder.

It was also a major factor in my decision to leave my postgraduate degree in 2021.

Eventually, I found my way to South Korea. 🇰🇷

After leaving university, I worked a few casual jobs before getting qualified for an education position in South Korea.

One of the biggest perks was the provided housing and a flight stipend to help with the cost of getting to Korea.

I’ve written more about how I got my job in Korea on my website if you’re interested.

Fortunately, I built a small network of friends I could rely on while navigating living and working in Korea.

Having people around who understood what I was going through made such a huge difference.

But living abroad was still challenging.

I studied Korean for a couple of months before moving, but I still struggled with the language barrier.

Add in cultural differences and trying to navigate everyday life in a completely different country, and adapting was harder than I expected.

But I also learned so much about myself during this time.

It’s hard to explain th

I think we underestimate how much the little things can shape our everyday lives. Not the big life overhauls or ambitious routines, but the tiny habits you repeat often enough that they eventually just become part of who you are.

A few more of mine lately, from making my evenings feel calmer to being more intentional with my time, money and attention. 📚💸✨

In Australia, your super balance can grow through employer contributions (under the Superannuation Guarantee).

📌 You can use the MoneySmart Superannuation Calculator to estimate how different contribution amounts may impact your retirement savings.

ℹ️ Keep in mind this is only a guide and shouldn’t be your sole source of information when making financial decisions.

🔗 The figures shown are estimates only, and your actual returns may be higher or lower. This example assumes an initial investment of $10,000, followed by monthly contributions of $1,000 over 40 years, with an annual return of 5%.

Make sure to do your research on which retirement system is applicable to your local country.

Don’t sleep on a high-yield savings (HYSA) account! It’s a type of savings account that offers a variable interest rate that’s generally higher than the rates you can get from a traditional savings account. It’s an easy way to earn interest while saving money.

Staying up to date with the news isn’t just something I like to do for fun, but it also helps me with work and also informs my financial decisions, like my investing.

These are just a few of my go-to sources for staying up to date with current events.

💻I also have a weekly Substack newsletter where I share media recommendations. You can sign up using the link in my bio.

An underrated habit that’s helped me stay off my phone.

If you’re struggling to stay off your phone, I recommend checking out this app, which blocks you from using certain apps.

I either brain-dump this in my journal or on my notes page on my phone to reset for the next day or week ahead.

A car-free mountain village tucked away in the Swiss Alps, where wooden chalets line the streets, the mountains feel impossibly close and you can spend the day wandering without ever needing a car.

It’s the kind of place that feels almost too pretty to be real — especially when the clouds clear and you catch a glimpse of the mountain that made this village famous.

A few tips if you’re planning a trip to #Switzerland:

🚆 Not driving? Check whether the Swiss Travel Pass or Swiss Half Fare Card makes sense for your itinerary.

🌦️ Check live webcams and weather forecasts before planning mountain excursions. The views can change very quickly.

🎫 Book popular experiences in advance, especially if you have a specific time slot in mind. I booked the first morning slot for my paragliding experience in Interlaken.

And if you haven’t guessed it yet… this is Zermatt. 🏔️

I’m thinking of making this a little seasonal series, sharing some of my favourite moments around Western Australia throughout the year.

Winter in Perth isn’t usually my favourite season, but this year has been a little different. We’ve had warmer weather than usual, and towards the end of the season, more sunshine has meant plenty of coastal walks. And now, the wildflowers are starting to make an appearance.
