Nine years ago, Vivienne Jones did what any heartbroken young witch might do: she lit a candle, poured some vodka, and casually cursed her ex-boyfriend. She assumed it was harmless — nothing more than a little magical pettiness.

Fast forward nearly a decade, and Rhys Penhallow returns to Graves Glen for the town’s annual fall festival… only for chaos to erupt. What Vivi thought was a silly spell turns out to have very real consequences, unleashing supernatural mayhem across their charming Georgia town. Forced to work together to break the curse, Vivi and Rhys must navigate old heartbreak and undeniable chemistry.

Why it’s perfect for autumn romance books: Witchy vibes, a cosy fall festival setting, and second-chance romance wrapped in magical chaos.

Why you’ll love it this autumn: Enemies-to-friends-to-lovers with sharp banter and slow-burning tension set against a moody city backdrop.

When June receives an unexpected email about the West Village brownstone she once shared with her former best friend Adam, she returns to New York. Thanks to a legal loophole, if they live there together for a month, the property could be theirs.

As fall settles over the city, old resentments resurface — along with feelings neither of them truly left behind. Forced proximity and unfinished business make for a complicated second chance.

Why it belongs on your autumn romance books list: New York in the fall, roommates-to-lovers tension, and deeply emotional second chances.

Sera Swan was once a powerful witch — until one reckless spell cost her most of her magic and her standing in the Guild. Now she helps run a cosy inn in Lancashire with her resurrected great-aunt and a mischievous talking fox.

When she discovers a spellbook that might restore her powers, she teams up with Luke Larsen, a handsome historian with his own guarded past. As guests come and go through the inn’s creaky doors, Sera learns that rebuilding her magic might be easier than rebuilding her heart.

Why it belongs on your fall TBR: Magical inn, found family, grumpy-sunshine energy, and cosy countryside charm.

Why Autumn Romance Books Are So Addictive

Autumn romance books often centre on change — new beginnings, returning home, rekindled love, or discovering what truly matters. The cosy settings amplify intimacy: small towns, local festivals, charming inns, city apartments glowing under golden leaves.

It’s a season that invites reflection, which makes love stories feel even more meaningful. Whether you prefer magical chaos, small-town charm, or emotional second chances, these autumn romance books capture that soft, cinematic feeling of falling in love as the leaves fall around you.

Which one are you adding to your fall TBR first?

Have you heard of the oldest botanical garden in t Have you heard of the oldest botanical garden in the Netherlands?

At first glance, it feels like a peaceful escape filled with exotic plants, glasshouses and hidden pathways. But wander a little longer and you'll discover you're walking through centuries of scientific history.

Founded in 1590, this garden began as a hortus medicus (medical herb garden), created to support the education of medical students by providing access to plants used in pharmacology. Its establishment was closely tied to the founding of Leiden University in 1575, during a period of scientific and intellectual renewal across Europe.

More than four centuries later, it has grown into a living botanical museum filled with rare plants, flowers and trees from around the world. You'll find giant water lilies from South America, jade flowers from the Philippines, and one of the oldest ginkgo trees in the Netherlands, originally native to China 🌱

💡 Save this for your next Netherlands trip:

– Wander through lush glasshouses filled with tropical plants and rare species from across the globe.

– Visit the historic orangery and discover botanical collections that have been growing here for centuries.

– Follow one of the themed walking routes and learn the fascinating stories behind the garden's most famous plants.

– Take a quiet break amongst ponds, flowers and ancient trees in one of Leiden's most peaceful spots.

I’ve been slowly working through all the footage from a recent trip to Karijini National Park, and these are a few of my favourite frames from the three days spent there.

You could easily spend a week (or more) here hiking, swimming, and exploring the gorges at your own pace. There are trails for all levels — from gentle walks through to more challenging routes, depending on how adventurous you’re feeling. The spots featured in this carousel are part of the easier trails leading to Fortescue Falls and Fern Pool. If you’re after something more intense, there are also canyoning experiences and guided hiking tours that take you deeper into the gorges.🍃🥾
