share tweet share pin post share

There’s something irresistible about stories where love gets a second chance. Whether it’s exes who can’t quite let go, childhood sweethearts finding their way back, or couples who meet again at exactly the wrong (or right) time, romance books about second chances tap into that universal hope that it’s never truly too late for love.

These are the kinds of books filled with lingering history, unfinished conversations, and chemistry that refuses to fade no matter how much time has passed. They explore what happens after the heartbreak, after the silence, and after life has pulled two people in different directions—only to bring them back together again.

If you’re in the mood for emotional, nostalgic, and deeply satisfying love stories, this list of romance books about second chances is full of all the angst, warmth, and “what if we tried again?” moments you’re looking for.

Have you heard of the oldest botanical garden in t Have you heard of the oldest botanical garden in the Netherlands?

At first glance, it feels like a peaceful escape filled with exotic plants, glasshouses and hidden pathways. But wander a little longer and you'll discover you're walking through centuries of scientific history.

Founded in 1590, this garden began as a hortus medicus (medical herb garden), created to support the education of medical students by providing access to plants used in pharmacology. Its establishment was closely tied to the founding of Leiden University in 1575, during a period of scientific and intellectual renewal across Europe.

More than four centuries later, it has grown into a living botanical museum filled with rare plants, flowers and trees from around the world. You'll find giant water lilies from South America, jade flowers from the Philippines, and one of the oldest ginkgo trees in the Netherlands, originally native to China 🌱

💡 Save this for your next Netherlands trip:

– Wander through lush glasshouses filled with tropical plants and rare species from across the globe.

– Visit the historic orangery and discover botanical collections that have been growing here for centuries.

– Follow one of the themed walking routes and learn the fascinating stories behind the garden's most famous plants.

– Take a quiet break amongst ponds, flowers and ancient trees in one of Leiden's most peaceful spots.

I’ve been slowly working through all the footage from a recent trip to Karijini National Park, and these are a few of my favourite frames from the three days spent there.

You could easily spend a week (or more) here hiking, swimming, and exploring the gorges at your own pace. There are trails for all levels — from gentle walks through to more challenging routes, depending on how adventurous you’re feeling. The spots featured in this carousel are part of the easier trails leading to Fortescue Falls and Fern Pool. If you’re after something more intense, there are also canyoning experiences and guided hiking tours that take you deeper into the gorges.🍃🥾
